After taking the Halswell Hornet Premiers to the Grand Final and the Canterbury Development side to a South Island Inter-District Competition win in 2013, Darrell Coad has been named to retain the reigns of the Halswell Hornets Premiers for 2014. Darrell, a loyal club man, has said he has enjoyed his time at the helm this year, and cannot wait to give it another go in 2014! We wish Darrell and the boys all the best for a massive preseason as they look to go one step further in 2014!

Darrell has also named his coaching staff for the 2014 season, which are as follows:

Darrell Coad – Coach
Shane Endacott – Coach/Technical Advisor
Craig Sullivan – Manager
Daryl Hawker – Assistant Manager
Tyler Sullivan – Trainer
Walter Wilson – Trainer/Skills Manager
Shannon Reedy – Fitness & Conditioning Coach
Mitchell Sullivan – Statistician
We hope to see all of the players from 2013 back for preseason, as well as plenty of new faces keen to put on the red, black and gold jersey next year. The seniors preseason will be open to all players that seek to play open grade in 2014. Darrell has announced that preseason training will kick off on Tuesday 3rd December 2013 (6.00pm, Halswell Domain), and will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There will be a break over the festive period, before kicking it up a notch in the new year.We congratulate Darrell on his re-appointment, and hope to see you all at preseason!
