  1. What is your full name? Shannon Thomas Francis Rushworth Knight
  2. Where we your born? Christchurch
  3. What is your favourite place in New Zealand? Twizel in summer
  4. What do you like to do to relax? Watch Sport on Tv, read, or catch up with family and friends
  5. What is your signature cooking/baking dish? Nacho’s (Sam Kelso & Jordy Kane will tell you all about them, from our flatting days) or butter chicken
  6. What do you do for a job? Shipping and stock administration at a steel company
  7. Are you a fan of the proposed new NZ flag or the current flag? In all honesty I’m not fussed. I’m Happy with what we have now however change is good. The money spent on the referendum should have been used elsewhere tho.
  8. What is the best compliment you have ever received? That’s your best worm by far.
  9. What is your favourite thing about Rugby League? Training hard on Tues & Thurs to achieve goals and testing them on a Saturday. Also memories, a lot of my best memories have been a result of playing rugby league whether on the field or off it.
  1. If you weren’t playing Rugby League, what sport would you play? Mixed Martial arts, cricket & don’t mind abit of golf either
  2. Who introduced you to playing for the Hornets? My family have been involved in the club since close to the beginning, however i never knew this until my mate Sam Kelso introduced me when i was 14 years old.
  3. How long have you been playing for the Hornets? Since i was 14 so 11 years now
  4. How many years have you played Premiers? My 1st game i was 16/17. So 9 years on and off
  5. What position do you play? Fullback
  6. What position would you like to play? Prop is the only position i haven’t played, so prop. Just so i can say I’ve played everywhere.
  7. Who is the “dark horse” for the Hornets this season? Hard to pick a single person out, however as a collective, by the way we have been training and the feeling in the team i believe we are a dark horse for the comp this season, and we will surprise a few.
  8. Who do you think will win the Premiers Player of the Year Award in 2016? Whoever works the hardest, and is a team player on and off the field
  9. Who do you think will win the 2016 CRL Grand Final? Silly question, Hornets. But atm that’s a long way off and not our focus, yet.
  10. Who will win the NRL in 2016? The Warriors will eventually gel and be hard to pull back so them, but if not them then Brisbane will be the team.
  11. Who do you think will win State of Origin in 2016? Same as most other years haha The Maroons
  12. Final word, what piece of advice would you give to young Hornets who want to play Premiers one day? Work hard, learn from your mistakes most of all look after your body.
