While the development of the Halswell RFLC’s second strategic plan was put on hold due to the Earthquakes and other activities, the Club Committee has recently finished developing a draft document. It has now been opened up to members for comment on the draft plan, so that the vision for the next five years is shared by all members of the Halswell Rugby Football League Club.

For those who are not aware, a strategic plan sets out what a business or organisation aims to achieve over a certain period of time, and how they are going to achieve it. The plan is broken down into five general areas, which is further separated into goals that the Club want to reach in the next five years. Underneath these goals are more specific actions that the Club will take in their endeavours to achieve these goals.

A strategic plan is effective where all members of an organisation are working towards the same goals and successes. This is why the Committee has opened it up to all members, past and current, to comment on the draft strategic plan document.

The opportunity for consultation will be open until the end of June, and all comments should be directed to Nick via email ([email protected]).

The Halswell RFLC Committee wishes you continual success in 2013 and urges you to take the opportunity to be a part of shaping the Club over the next five year period.
